11And the sons of Gad opposite them dwelt in the land of Bashan as far as Salchah.12Joel the chief, and Shapham the second, and Ja'an and Shaphat in Bashan.13Their relatives from their fathers' households: Michael, Mesholem, Shoba, Yorai, Ya'kan, Zia, and Eber—seven.14These were the sons of Abihail son of Huri son of Jaroah son of Gilead son of Michael son of Jeshishai son of Jahdo son of Buz.15Ahi son of Abdi'el son of Guni, head of their fathers' house.16And they dwelt in Gilead, in Bashan, and in its villages, and in all the pasturelands of Sharon to their borders.17All of them were genealogically registered in the days of Jotham king of Judah and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.18The sons of Reuben, Gad, and the half tribe of Manasseh—sons of mighty people bearing shield and sword and treading bow and trained in war—forty-four thousand seven hundred and sixty going out as a host.19And they made war with the Hagrites, with Jetur, and Naphish, and Nodab.20And they helped against them and gave into their hand the Hagrites and all who were with them, for they cried out to God in warfare and He let Himself be entreated for them, for they trusted in Him.21And they dwelt in their livestock: their camels fifty thousand, and sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and donkeys two thousand, and souls of humanity one hundred thousand.22for many of the slain fell, for the warfare was from God, and they dwelt in their place until the Exile.
